Ohaus Guardian™ 5000 Hotplate

The Ohaus Guardian™ 5000 series of hotplates is designed for safety and simplicity in research, academia and industrial settings. The SmartHousing™ is chemical resistant with an innovative, easy-to-clean design that channels spills away from internal components and the angled control panel. The bright custom backlit LCD display includes large settings and intuitive icons designed to quickly and easily monitor performance from across the lab.

This hotplate provides stable temperature control from ambient+5°C to 500°C. The SafetyHeat™ System is an industry-leading early detection system that uses two independent safety controls to continuously monitor the electronics and shut off heating before an over temperature condition occurs. The ceramic top plate measures 7 x 7” (17.8 x 17.8 cm) and the hotplate has a capacity of 15 L.

Overall Dimensions: 4.8” h x 8.8”w x 12.2” d (12.2 x 22.3 x 30.9 cm). Net Weight 5.7 lb (2.6 kg).
