Ohaus Next Generation Guardian™ 5000 Round Top Hotplate Stirrers

These Ohaus Next Generation Guardian™ 5000 round top hotplate stirrers are designed for safety and versatility across research, academia and industrial settings. They offer several unique features that make the hotplates amongst the safest in the industry. Ohaus' signature SafetyHeat™ allows the user to adjust the Set Temperature upper limit of the Top Plate, SafetyHeat™ monitors the electronics and shuts off heating before an overtemperature condition occurs and the Run Dry Protection System shuts off heating and sounds alarms if a probe-controlled heating is running without the probe tip submersed in the heating medium. The Run Time Mode and optional Splash Shield provide increased safety. The SmartRate™ system accurately controls heating & stirring from fast and intensive to soft and precise.  An intuitive user interface featuring a large, bright LCD screen with white characters & knob button(s), allows for user friendly operation. An RS232 port is included for remote control or data logging.

The hotplate provides stable temperature control from ambient+5°C up to 360°C .  The stirrer provides precise stirring from 50 to 1800 rpm with a maximum capacity of 20 L.

This hotplate stirrer features a 5.3” (13.5 cm) diameter round ceramic-coated aluminum top plate. This unique design offers an optional base plate to hold sectional or uniblocks for multiple samples of vials and tests tubes at the same time.

Available as an individuality or as  package (Kit-1) that contains a temperature probe and a probe holder kit.
