- L409 Series Laboratory Mixing Faucets w/ Swing Spout, Single Hole Deck-Mounted, Chrome Finish
Product Description
The WaterSaver Faucet Co.'s L409 mixing faucet is a single hole deck-mounted unit that supplies both cold and hot water. The body and handles are made of forged brass with a polished chrome-plated finish. The L-series valve cartridge units with replaceable stainless steel seats are self-contained and user renewable. Each four-arm handle features a color-coded index disc.
This unit features a 9" spout which can be configured for rigid or swing operation; a comparison of these styles is available as a PDF file. The inlet is a 1-3/16" NPT male shank with two 3/8" O.D. flexible copper tubes while the outlet is 3/8" IPS female with a removable aerator. Each unit is fully assembled and factory tested prior to shipment.
The following options are available (mix and match)
- Vacuum breaker - an integrated ASSE-certified vacuum breaker (backflow preventer) which has a replaceable seat and ultra-light float cup to resist spilling at low flow. May be required by some plumbing codes; please check before ordering. (-VB)
- Seven serration anti-splash hose end (-140S-W) in place of the BO055 aerator on the outlet. Given the large swing arm on this faucet, the aerator is usually the preferred option.
- Choice of LC or LA valve units in place of the standard L-series. The LA has an adjustable volume flow control for those with high water pressure or who are looking to conserve water. The LC has rotating ceramic discs that afford durable and long-lasting service with the convenience of 180° open/close rotation. A comparison of the L-, LA-, and LC- cartridges is available. NOTE: All LA- and LC- orders must ship from the factory.
Installation guidelines are available on-line and a specification drawing of the L409 is available as a PDF file. Additional styles of mixing faucets are also available.
Tech note: This faucet is the recommended replacement for the L410 faucet which was discontinued in 2022.
FOR LABORATORY USE ONLY - These faucets are not suitable for potable drinking water as they are made of brass which may have traces of lead.
