Ansul Model B-1 Upright and Pendent Foam-Water Sprinklers

Ansul's B-1 Upright (Ansul p/n 422711) and Pendent (Ansul p/n 72535 ) Foam-Water Sprinklers have an open Venturi-style with a brass agitator and are used in dry type systems. They are designed to deliver a thick blanket of foam over the protected area. When the foam supply has been exhausted, the foam-water sprinkler continues to deliver cooling water spray in an approved spray pattern. These foam-water sprinklers have a 1/2" NPT connection.  Complete dimensional info is shown in the pictures here and in the Ansul data sheet for these products.

APPLICATION NOTE: The pendent version hangs down from the overhead supply pipe and the upright version sits above the supply pipe. The two versions are not identical and, thus, are not interconvertible so be sure to order the correct head for your installation.

These sprinkler heads are designed for use in foam protection systems for preventing, extinguishing and controlling fires in flammable liquids, the lighter oils and hazardous chemicals. They are recognized for use in Ansul's USCG-approved systems, are UL listed, and work with automatic or manual actuation. Additional types and styles of Ansul sprinklers are available by special order.
