- L4880FT-325 Gas Needle Valve, Panel Mount
Product Description
The WaterSaver Faucet Co.'s L4880FT-325 needle valve assembly is a panel-mounted system designed for flow regulation of laboratory gases such as nitrogen, oxygen, helium and hydrogen. Needle valves are for use with gases only. This valve has a 3/8" NPT female inlet and is designed for installation where there is no access behind the wall during installation. The flange is threaded onto a nipple stubbed out from the wall and then the threaded escutcheon is then backed up to the wall to secure the valve and conceal the pipe. If the installer has access behind the panel or drywall L4880F-225WSA is the preferred fixture.
The valve body is forged brass with a polished chrome plated finish. The valve unit features a floating tapered stainless steel needle and replaceable stainless steel seat. The valve affords good metering and can be ordered specially cleaned, lubricated and packaged for use with high purity gases (required for hydrogen and oxygen services). The forged brass four-arm handle features a color-coded index disc (specify gas being used when ordering). The inlet and outlet are both 3/8" NPT female and the outlet has a removable ten-serration hose end that varies in diameter from ~1/2" down to 5/16". Each unit is fully assembled and factory tested to 250 psi (maximum working pressure is 150 psi) prior to shipment.
The valve includes a plastic index disc indicating the type of service the valve is used for. Standard options include air, carbon dioxide, gas, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, and vacuum (replacement buttons are available as item # Lbutton). Additional indexing options are also available.
Installation guidelines are available on-line. The specification drawing is available as a PDF files.
Additional mounting styles of needle valves are available but are not listed on our web site. You can contact us for pricing or to order any of these other styles. Fine control needle valves which offer greater precision and operating pressures (L2870 and L4870 series) are available to order directly.
