- Harvard Trip® Mechanical Balances
Product Description
The Ohaus Harvard Trip® series of mechanical balances feature a two pan design for comparative rather than absolute weighing. The ability to determine mass by difference rather than an absolute value increases the capacity of the balance and provides a valuable teaching/learning experience in K-12 environments.
Features include a self-aligning beam design, special floating agate bearings, a counter-balancing knob to provide quick zeroing, and magnetic damping for quicker results. This durable balance is made with aluminum pressure casting for the base and beam assembly and has two stainless steel pans.
The Harvard Trip® series is available in three models, all of which have 0.1 g readability. The single beam 1450-SD model has one adjustment beam with a 10 g range and 0.1 g increments. The 1550-SD adds a second beam with a 200g range in 10 g increments. The 1560-SD has both beams and adds a tare capacity of up to 225 g. Weights are sold separately.
Dimensions: 240 mm (9.44 in) L x 140 mm (5.5 in) D x 160 mm (6.3 in) H. Weight: 2.7 kg (5.95 lb).
Maximum capacity: 2,000 g. Readability: 0.1 g. Pan diameters: 152 mm (6.2 in)
