Ohaus Frontier™ FC5917RF and FC5917RF Short Multi Pro Centrifuges

The Ohaus Frontier™ 5000 Series Multi-Pro Centrifuges are designed for universal use in multiple applications in research, industrial, and clinical laboratories and can be combined with a wide range of rotors and accessories for customized use. The intuitive design of the centrifuges & accessories enable easy access to parameter settings, and quick rotation between applications. They feature automatic rotor recognition and backlit LCD. The performance of these centrifuges is propelled by German engineering, and high-quality components for reliable use. They are constructed of chemical-resistant stainless steel to ensure durability in lab use. Design features include ten acceleration and deceleration rates and selection of running time from 10 s to 99 h 59 min or continuous, quick spin. These Frontier™ 5000 Series centrifuges are equipped with protective features, including automatic over-speed protection, imbalance detection and a self-diagnostic system to ensure reliable use and operator safety.

These FC5917RF models are compatible with up to 6 optional rotors and numerous accessories for a broad spectrum of applications from high-throughput samples to cell and blood separation. They have a a capacity of up to 4 x 1000 mL with the ability to spin up to 192 blood tubes or 96 15ml- conical tubes and 40 50ml-conical tubes. The CFC-free refrigeration system provides a temperature range of -20 to 40°C. This refrigerated unit has a pre-cooling program to quickly reach the desired temperatures, sample temperature indication and standstill cooling. They have a speed range of 200 - 16,010 rpm with a maximum g-force of 26,361 g.

This unit is available as both a floor-standing (FC5917RF)or under-bench (short) model (FC5917RF Short). The floor unit measures 27.2" l x 24.2" w x 38.6" h (690 x 620 x 980 mm) and has a weight of 419 lb (190 kg) with a rotor. The under-bench (short) unit measures 27.2" l x 24.2" w x 27.6" h (690 x 620 x 700 mm) and has a weight of 346 lb (157 kg) with a rotor.
