Justrite Lithium-Ion Battery Charging Cabinet, 4 kWH TECR

Lithium-ion batteries are extremely common in the modern workplace. This state-of-the-art cabinet features multiple layers of advanced shielding to reduce the risks of battery fires and thermal runaway, while charging and storing lithium-ion batteries. It features eight receptacles to allow for simultaneous charging of multiple batteries, with a 4 kWH TECR maximum capacity. This cabinet is also lightweight to allow for easy relocation, and lockable doors for high security.

The cabinet is constructed from 18-gauge (1 mm) steel, with exterior dimensions of 24" high x 43" wide x 18" deep. It features double-sided walls along the sides, top, and bottom, with a 1-1/2" (3.8 cm) air gap between the walls. The doors feature baffled vents with a flame arrester pattern, which are supported by continuous piano hinges. Also included are a grounding attachment, leveling feet, a three-point stainless steel bullet latching system, and a key lock on the flush-mounted door handle. A heat-reactive label on the outside will change colors when external temperature reach 120° Fahrenheit. The inside features a fixed shelf with a capacity of 65 lbs, and an 8-receptacle power strip to enable controlled charging of lithium-ion batteries. An axial fan to regulate temperature, and sliding doors to close and obstruct the fan opening if the internal temperature exceeds 135° Fahrenheit are also present inside the cabinet.

It's most notable safety features, are the steel double-wall construction, which provides a solid structure to keep potential explosions contained, a pressure relief system with steel latch rods and reinforced cradle plates to ensure the cabinet doors remain closed, and a double-layer wire-mesh flame arrestors to absorb heat and stop flames from escaping. The air gap provides insulation, ensuring that the surface temperature is safe to touch, while the tight sealing door hinge flame guards prevent fire from escaping through the hinges. Automatic damper flaps close the the interior temperature reaches in excess of 135° Fahrenheit to prevent the release of smoke and harmful gasses, while a pressure relief venting filtration system with an integrating filter traps the smoke and absorbs harmful toxins. Intumescent seals are heat activated, and swell as the temperature rises to prevent any fire or smoke from escaping as well. The cabinet also features a crossflow fan ventilation system to constantly pull fresh air into the cabinet to cool the batteries, as well as an automatic circuit breaker which will trip in the case of a thermal runaway.

Required Utilities: This product is intended to be plugged into a dedicated 120VAC/60Hz GFCI supply using a minimum 14 gauge cord. (Cord not included with cabinet.)
