Product Description
The Guardian Equipment GBF1672 wall-mounted emergency shower is activated by pulling a recessed pull lever that stays open until manually shut. When mounted at the correct height, this unit is compliant with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) in meeting the needs of wheelchair users. The GBF1670 is similar but features an vertically-mounted exposed shower head typically used with taller ceilings. The GBF1671 is similar but designed for recessed mounting in 8 to 10 foot ceilings.

Application: Recessed emergency shower with wall mounted shower head. Recessed shower conserves valuable floor space, while eliminating the clutter and obstruction created by conventional shower equipment. Unit can be installed in either a corridor or a lab room, close to where accidents might occur. ADA Compliance: When installed at recommended mounting heights, unit complies with ADA requirements for accessibility by handicapped persons. Shower head: 10" diameter stainless steel with 20 GPM flow control. Furnished with horizontal supply pipe and wall escutcheon. Valve: 1" IPS brass stay-open ball valve with stainless steel “panic bar.” Pulling bar down activates shower; shower remains in operation until bar is returned to original closed position. Furnished with stainless steel access panel and 1" IPS unions for valve. Mounting: 16 gauge stainless steel cabinet with flange featuring 3/8” return for recessed mounting in wall. Pipe & Fittings: Exposed pipe and escutcheon are brushed stainless steel. Supply: 1" NPT female inlet. Sign: ANSI-compliant identification sign, item # 250-009G. Note: ANSI Z358.1-2014 provides that shower heads be installed no more than 96" above the finished floor. |
AP280-235 Electric light and alarm horn. Flashing light/alarm horn unit is recess mounted in finished wall. Light is illuminated and horn sounds when shower is activated. Includes additional leads for remote monitoring. APBF250-065 Modesty curtain. Application Note An optional G6040 thermostatic mixing valve (tempering unit) which precisely blends hot and cold water to deliver warm (tepid) water as provided by ANSI Z358.1-2014 may be required under your state or local plumbing codes. |
