Product Description
The Guardian Equipment G1896 is constructed entirely of PVC and has a stainless steel stay-open ball valve for superior corrosion resistance. The G1890 is the corresponding wall-mounted unit. The G1796 is identical to the G1896 except it has four spray heads instead of two. Guardian also makes a number of stainless steel eyewashes such as the G1894 pedestal unit.
SHIPMENT NOTE: This product is relatively fragile and Guardian prefers to ship this rather compact/lightweight item as freight to prevent damage in transit. Application: Free standing, pedestal mounted eyewash. Constructed entirely in PVC and PVC-coated brass. Ideal for industrial environments where harsh acids and caustics are present. Two GS-Plus™ spray-type spray heads deliver a flood of water for rinsing eyes. Spray Head Assembly: Two GS-Plus™ spray heads. Each head has a “flip top” dust cover, internal flow control and filter to remove impurities from the water flow. Valve: 1/2" IPS stainless steel stay-open ball valve. The valve has a stainless steel ball and PTFE seals. Bowl: 11-3/4" diameter orange ABS plastic. Pipe and Fittings: Schedule 80 PVC. Supply: 1/2" NPT female inlet. Waste: 2" socket weld female outlet. Sign: ANSI-compliant identification sign, item # 250-007G. Quality Assurance: Unit is completely assembled and water tested prior to shipment. |
GRN Green ABS plastic bowl. YEL Yellow ABS plastic bowl. Application Note An optional G6020 thermostatic mixing valve (tempering unit) which precisely blends hot and cold water to deliver warm (tepid) water as provided by ANSI Z358.1-2014 may be required under your state or local plumbing codes.

Tech note: Prior to 2023, this item used a PVC-coated brass stay-open valve.
All Guardian items are manufactured in the USA. This item ships in a box approximately 16" x 23" x 13" (41 x 58 x 33 cm) weighing approximately 12 pounds (5.5 kg); however it generally ships as freight - see the note in the second paragraph (above).
