- L2870-131 Series Fine Control Needle Gas Valves w/ Deck Mounted Turrets
Product Description
The WaterSaver Faucet Co.'s L2870-131 series deck-mounted turrets feature your choice of one to four laboratory L2870 fine control needle valves designed for precise flow regulation of laboratory gases such as nitrogen, oxygen, helium and hydrogen. The valve is specially cleaned, lubricated and packaged for use with high purity gases at no extra charge. Needle valves are for use with gases only.
Note: Because of the special cleaning and packaging, we can not accept returns on these items if they have been removed from their original factory packaging.
The valve bodies are forged brass with a polished chrome plated finish. The valve units feature a floating tapered stainless steel needle and replaceable stainless steel seat. The valve goes from closed to open in 8 revolutions of the handle, providing precise flow regulation. The forged brass four-arm handle features a color-coded index disc (specify gas being used when ordering). The inlet and outlet are both 3/8" NPT female and the outlet has a removable ten-serration hose end that varies in diameter from ~1/2" down to 5/16". Each unit is fully assembled and factory tested prior to shipment.
The following configurations are available:
- L2870-131WSA - Turret with one L2870 valve.
- L2870-132AWSA - Turret with two L2870 valves 90° apart
- L2870-132SWSA - Turret with two L2870 valves 180° apart
- L2870-132AWSA - Turret with three L2870 valves 90° apart
- L2870-132AWSA - Turret with four L2870 valves 90° apart
The valves include a plastic index disc indicating the type of service the valve is used for. Standard options include air, carbon dioxide, cold water, deionized water, distilled water, gas, hot water, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, and steam (replacement buttons are available as item # Lbutton). Additional indexing options are also available.
Tech note: As of 2023, WaterSaver no longer offers these valves for vacuum service, in part because fine control for vacuum is meaningless over-engineering. For vacuum applications, select the corresponding L2880 needle valve; while these are not listed on our web site you can contact us for pricing or to order any of these other styles.
Installation guidelines are available on-line. The specification drawing for the L2870-131WSA is available as a PDF file.
Double wall/panel/overhead configurations are also available (L2870-141 series).
The L4880 series of valves is identical to the L2870 except they are plain needle valves instead of the fine control afforded by the L2870.
