Description

Type I safety cans have one opening used for filling and pouring. These Justrite models have a self-closing, leakproof lid that prevents vapors from escaping and guards against spills. The automatic positive-pressure relief cap vents between 3 and 5 psig (0.2 and 0.35 bar) to guard against rupture.

Made from 24-gauge galvanized steel coated with a tough powder finish that resists chemicals these cans stand up to the demands of rigorous use. Each can is tested to guarantee 100% leakproof construction that is backed by a 10 year limited warranty. All cans are equipped with a stainless steel flame arrestor which dissipates heat to stop flashback ignition. A large label ID zone on the front provides writing space to identify contents, department location, or individual user name. All can sizes have extra capacity for adding two-cycle engine oil or other additives.

These cans are FM approved, UL/ULC listed, accepted under CARB, and meet OSHA and NFPA requirements.

An optional polypropylene funnel attaches to the spout neck to make pouring into smaller containers easier and safer. The two-position funnel folds down for when you fill or store the can, and stays up for when you pour. A large rounded bowl provides protection from splashing and spillage and durable construction holds up to heavy use.

Available in four colors (red for gasoline or other flammable liquids, blue for kerosene, yellow for diesel, green for combustibles) with or without a funnel. Please contact us for the availability of other sizes.
