Description

These plastic Keck™-style clips are made of tough polyoxomethylene (POM, the generic version of Delrin™) and are designed to hold your standard taper joints together securely.  The clips are stiff, with low friction and excellent dimensional stability and they will not scratch glassware like metal clips. Our clips are available in 9 color-coded sizes from 10 to 45 mm joint size.  They will withstand strong concentrated alkalis and dilute acids as well as temperatures up to 302 °F (150 °C). They are not resistant to halogen-containing gases or concentrated acids, however.

Typical applications include holding glassware components together for distillation, reflux, vacuum line work, and general organic manipulations.  In the example picture shown above, a size 24 clip is holding together an AF-0505-12 inlet adapter and a CG-1220-01 West condenser.

Select your clip size based on the diameter of your standard taper joint (the first number); they do not depend on length (the second number).  For example, 14/10 and 14/20 joints both use the size 14 clip. This table summarizes the available options.  Sold in sets of 10 identically-sized clips only.
