Fritted Glass Extraction Thimbles For Soxhlet Extraction

These all-glass extraction thimbles are used in Soxhlet extraction devices such as the CG-1368 and CG-1369. The all-glass design permits viewing of the solid during the extraction unlike a paper thimble.

The fritted glass disc at the bottom is available in coarse or extra-coarse porosity; other porosities are available upon request but are not recommended as they may not drain quickly enough to provide good siphon action in the extractor.  See our porosity size chart and Glassware Gallery for care and usage tips.

Glass thimbles for the CG-1373 Jumbo Soxhlet systems are a special order item available from that product's web page. They are a custom piece of glassware and not returnable.
