The 180° angle on these drying tubes saves space in fume hoods where space is at a minimum and also helps prevent desiccant material from falling into your reaction mixture. This tube has a beaded rim on one end and a lower inner joint on the other. A #3 rubber stopper and glass inlet tube are included. Available with your choice of 14/20 or 24/40 inner standard taper joint.

In typical use, one places a small wad of glass wool into the flared portion of the tube, fills the unjointed side of the tube with a desiccant such as calcium chloride, and then places additional glass wool and the rubber stopper assembly into the non-jointed end.
