- Fritted Gas Washing Bottles, Tall Form
Product Description
Gas washing bottles are generally used to saturate or dry gas streams. For example, the bottle could be filled with water and carbon dioxide gas could be bubbled through the inlet tube, saturating the gas stream with water vapor as it exits to the right as shown.
This item has a hexagonal base for stability, a standard taper 34/28 top joint, and a coarse fritted glass tube for the gas dispersion. Additional models with and without fritted dispersion tubes are also available (see below).
This complete unit comes with two CG-110-02 18 mm stainless steel springs. It is available in 125, 250 and 500 mL sizes with approximate heights of 290, 305, and 380 mm, respectively. The replacement part listed as "stopper" is the top section with the hose connections and dip tube while the "bottle" is the bottom portion with the hexagonal base that holds the washing liquid. The CG-1112 and CG-1114 share the same bottle component - to order a replacement bottle for the CG-1114, see CG-1112.
Selected measurements for the 500 mL stopper: The length below the ground glass joint is ~232 mm. The overall height is ~350 mm. The width is approximately 130 mm from the tips of the hose barbs.
The 125 mL version has a 160 mm length below the joint to the inside bottom of the bottle. The 250 mL version has a 170 mm length below the joint to the inside bottom of the bottle.
