- Spill Alarm & Cut-Off™ w/ Spill Sensor
Product Description
This product was discontinued by the manufacturer in 2023 and there is no recommended alternative or replacement, sorry.
This handy device turns one piece of 120 V electrical equipment on or off when the acrylic block sensor detects a spill on the bench, floor, hood, or wherever it is placed. An audible alarm sounds during a spill condition. This unit comes with one sensor block on a 6' cable. Additional sensors (SOLD SEPARATELY as item # 20901-B) can be daisy-chained together to cover multiple areas such as two adjacent hoods.
This device can also be used to turn off the water supply in the event of a spill. Simply purchase a water solenoid valve (SOLD SEPARATELY as item # 20905), install it on the water supply line, and plug it into the controller. The water will automatically shut off if there is a break in the line!
This item has one outlet and can handle up to 12.5 amp loads @ 1500 watts. The sensor block has a maximum current of 4 microamps at 4 V AC making it suitable for most applications where flammable vapors are a concern (be sure to locate the control unit outside such areas).
