Revision history
The original WP-61 was replaced by the WP-61-1 in approximately 2018. This was then succeeded by the WP-61-2 which began shipping in late 2021. These modifications involve a slight change to the cylinder shape at the top and introduced the following new features over the original model: 1) Ergonomic stainless steel handles and levers, 2) a service-friendly hex hose coupling (early 2022), 3) modernized bilingual nameplates, 4) a prominent Badger emblem, 5) new polished stainless steel cylinders with crevice-free butt weld construction and 6) a stainless steel siphon tube assembly.
The part number, 16888, remained the same across these changes, and service parts of the -2 version are backwards compatible with the earlier versions.
