Self-Closing Adapter Kits for Eagle Cabinets

Product Description

These products were phased out by Eagle through the end of 2023 and are no longer available. No alternatives are available. Eagle, of course, recommends you purchase a new self-closing flammable storage cabinet instead.

These Eagle self-closing adapter kits cover manual door models to self-closing models as required by some state and local fire codes. Each kit includes full instructions and hardware. The kits include a stay-open feature with a fusible link that will release in the event of a fire.

These kits should work with cabinets from other manufacturers provided they are the same approximate size.

Technical Note: Technically, modification of any flammable storage cabinet by drilling a hole for a closing kit, padlock hasp etc. voids the FM and/or UL listing approval as the cabinets were not tested with such modifications (then again, your cabinet may already be out of compliance if it has manually operated doors in states that require self-closing doors). It may also void the manufacturer warranty. Justrite/Eagle encourages replacement of altered cabinets.
