CRFRSS Fire-Rated, Recess Mounted Cabinets for Oval Model 10J-ABC Fire Extinguishers, Stainless Steel

These fire-rated recess mounted Fire Extinguisher Cabinets are specifically manufactured for use with Oval Model 10J-ABC low-profile fire extinguishers.  The cabinet is wrapped with 5/8" (16 mm) thick Type X gypsum drywall and encased in a galvanized steel shell.  They are rated for use in 2-hour fire-rated walls and marked by Intertek/Warnock Hersey.  The recess design maximizes clear space in pathways and means of egress.  The cabinets fit into standard 3-5/8" (92 mm) partition wall making them ideal for both new construction and retrofit applications.  Mounting hardware is not included.

Accessibility: When mounted, the cabinets project 5/8" (16 mm) from the wall surface complying with the maximum limit for protruding objects as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design, the International Building Code and ANSI/ICC ANSI A117.1.

Construction: The cabinet is fully welded 16 gauge stainless steel with a #4 polished finish. The tub is made of 22 gauge steel, with a powder coated finish. 

Door: The 16 gauge steel door has a continuous steel piano hinge, a 1.25" (32 mm) trim, (2) self-adjusting roller catches, a black plastic recessed handle and it opens 180°. The cabinet is reversible so the handle can be on either the left or right side.

Window/Lock: These cabinets are available with a full glass front, a vertical half window or as a solid door.  Tempered glass is available for an extra charge. Locks that permit opening by pulling firmly (breaking glass is not required) are available for an extra charge.

Lettering: The cabinet is furnished without lettering however, the words "Fire Extinguisher" can be added for an extra charge. Lettering is available in red, white or black as a clear vertical decal, vertical die-cut letters or ascending die-cut letters.

This model is also available in powder coated steel. Other cabinet styles include surface mounted, recessed, ligature-resistant surface mounted, and ligature-resistant recess mounted.
